Introducing the new stars of the spin-off series from 'Iggy the Iguana'--TURTLE TOWN!
Everyone in Texas knew Snap Shell to be a cool laid-back surfer dude...who didn't really surf at all! That is of course, until he started wearing flippers on his un-webbed feet and moved to California. The West Coast ways are definitely different than back in Texas, and as you will see, Snap tries his best to fit in and prove himself as a surfer and not a mere "wannabe." What may have seemed like a defect in the beginning could later become the new trend of the century as Snap Shell proves that a tortoise can surf just as good as a sea turtle. Snap will face many challenges not just in the surf, but with a few sea turtles and the ultimate challenge to stay true to himself.
No kids, he's not a Ninja Turtle, but a Tortuga board riding, leather wearing, moped driving, surfer dude Sea Turtle! Lucas the Leatherback is definitely the antagonist in this new series--TURTLE TOWN--and he has his way, not only with the waves, but with the newcomer on the beach, Snap Shell Turtle! Lucas may be the "best surfer" in Cardiff Beach, California, but every villain has a weakness as you will discover when this story unfolds. Keep a close eye on this Leatherback Turtle because not every turtle is as they seem.
This cute little surfer chick can ride waves with the best of them. Don't let her size or girly looks surprise you. Tula the Olive Ridley instantly took Snap Shell under her flippers on his arrival at Cardiff Beach Surf School and showed him the ways of the beach and the surfing lifestyle. Tula is a valuable friend to Snap, and reminds him to look out for himself in Cali, but will Tula turn her back on Snap to follow the trends or prove her loyalty as a turtle?
Spike, Tula's big brother, has been surfing the waves of Costa Rica and California for years. Always known for wearing a spike necklace and talking the surf lingo, Spike is totally legit and well known amongst his bale of turtles. After the Olive Ridleys' mother dropped them off in Turtle Town, Spike took on the role of big brother and protector to little Tula, (who can take care of herself, thank you very much!) Everything seems cool and laid-back, until Spike gets wind of a new relationship forming between his little sister and you know who...hmm???
Everyone in TURTLE TOWN knows Timmy the Green Sea Turtle! He is a surf-instructor and ex-pro surfer who has traveled all around the world in search of the perfect wave. After years of touring he eventually settles in the breaks of the West Coast as one of the most well respected surf instructors this side of the Pacific. Timmy challenges his students to be their best, yet can still show any surfer turtle up if he so chooses. Timmy knows the ocean and the waves like the back of his shell.
Trekker the Lizard is not your average lizard, and don't let his goofy personality fool you. Following in his dad's footsteps, the Treks have started an entire enterprise all over the ocean. Inventors of the Sea Trek Helmet, which Trekker personally models more often than not. He is the owner of the Trek Boards & More Surf Shop and a custom surf board shaper. Snap notices quickly that Trekker really does march to the beat of his own drum, but becomes a great resource and friend in TURTLE TOWN.
You never find one with out the other! This duo have really tried to make their place in Turtle Town as Timmy Turtle's assistants, but both continually prove themselves as unpredictable. Herbert the Hermit Crab talks with a fake french accent and Star doesn't talk at all...he's mute. It's pretty ironic that Star is always stuck to Herbert's back "cleaning his shell" and Herbert has no idea that Starfish eat Hermit Crabs.
